Jane M. Myers
Ms. Myers received a Juris Doctorate from Hofstra University School of Law in 1979. She represents and counsels individuals and general businesses (software developers, manufacturers, commercial real estate owners and developers, environmental consulting firms, executive recruiting firms) and licensed professional practices (architects, engineers, accountants, attorneys and medical professionals) in corporate and business transactions. Her experience includes the purchase and sale of businesses, formation and structuring of business entities, preparation and negotiation of business-related agreements including employment, shareholder, partnership and operating agreements, restructuring business entities due to the addition or removal of an owner, and business succession planning (business owner exit and retirement strategies).
In addition to business matters, Ms. Myers also concentrates in the areas of real estate and financing. She represents institutional lenders in commercial and residential mortgage loans, construction loans, term loans, revolving credit facilities and asset based lending. Her experience includes acquisition, financing, development and sale of commercial real estate, leasing of office, shopping center and industrial properties, as well as the acquisition, development, leasing and sale of commercial condominium and cooperative units.
A frequent lecturer on topics concerning business and real estate issues, Ms. Myers has been a member of the Advisory Boards of two national title insurance companies and a member of the board of directors of the Long Island Power Network.
Ms. Myers is admitted to practice before the Courts of the State of New York, and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
